A National Concert Hall gig this October.
Two big pieces of news for fans of critically revered cult indies Yo La Tengo today.
First up, the Hoboken act are ready to release a follow-up to 2013's Fade (which Eamon Sweeney reckoned occasionally came "close to matching the supreme brilliance of their magnum opus …And Then Nothing Turned Itself Out) this summer. Stuff Like That There will bring together re-recorded versions of some old tunes along with covers of songs from The Cure, Sun Ra, Hank Williams and more. Matador will put it out August 28.
To promote the release, Yo La Tengo are also planning European and US dates. Luckily, Ireland figures in their plans. They'll be in the National Concert Hall, Dublin, October 15. Ticket details are yet to be announced.
