XXXTentacion Boasts Two Top Ten Albums a Fortnight After Death
The late rapper occupies two places on the Billboard Top 200's top 10 two weeks after being shot dead
Slain rapper XXXTentacion's albums ? and 17 have made their way to the top 10 of the Billboard Top 200.
? currently holds the third spot on the Top 200 after 5 Seconds of Summer's new Youngblood (no. 1) and the Carters' joint album, Everything is Love (no. 3). 17 currently sits at no. 7.
? is Billboard's greatest gainer of the week having previously occupied the no. 1 spot after its March 16 release. 17, which was released August 25 last year and peaked at no. 2, soared from its position of no. 60 last week.
The albums are also in Ireland's top 10, with ? sitting at no. 2 and 17 sitting at no. 9.
The new chart positions come two weeks after the 20-year-old rapper was shot dead in his home state of Florida on June 18.
Hot Press previously reported that a 22-year-old Florida man was arrested in connection with the shooting.
XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was awaiting trial on charges of domestic violence against his then-pregnant ex-girlfriend.
He had also served six months in prison on armed home invasion charges in 2015.
The rapper's mother revealed he was expecting a child with his girlfriend at the time of his murder.
