Watch: Queensryche video 'Hellfire' depicts tragic events
Heavy metal stars release new video amid their Condition Hüman world tour.
The American band released their fifteenth and most current album Condition Hüman in 2015, which features the song 'Hellfire.' Sounding most like their signature earlier jams, 'Hellfire' depicts their iconic political and social commentary "Blinded/Blind to the eyes of the world/Under a jaded sky".
Queensryche vocalist Todd La Torre explains it best, "'Hellfire' is a depiction primarily based on the tragic events surrounding the Malaysian airline flight MH17. Despite the storyline's foundation, the lyrical and visual narrative transcends into other pertinent, global subject matters. Civil unrest, guerrilla warfare, media propaganda, and social inequalities are just some examples of the multifaceted issues marbled throughout 'Hellfire'. A poignant illustration of an unfortunate yet timeless reality."
