Watch: New Video for LYRA's 'Falling'
The Cork electro pop singer-songwriter and instrumentalist has just released an otherworldly new music video.
Directed by Tom Dream, the video for 'Falling' was shot on the coast of Margate, featuring it's natural beauty and wide open spaces. The dramatic new video perfectly complements LYRA's style of darkly beautiful pop music, inspired by artists such as Kate Bush, Lykke Li and Bat for Lashes.
On shooting the video, she has said: :“It was so much fun making this video for ‘Falling’ - my first ever video and the whole team involved were an absolute dream to work with. I wanted this video to be a little insight into how I perform - I go a bit wild on stage when the music just takes over me!"
LYRA has worked with writers such as Phil Cook (Birdy, Ellie Goulding) and Carey Willetts (Dermot Kennedy), and has performed with artists including Dermot Kennedy and James Bay. Her song 'Emerald' was used in a recent Guinness advert- her favourite homeland drink. This new video release accompanies an announcement of a headline show at London’s Thousand Island on April 16th – tickets available here.
