Track of the Day: Proper Micro NV — 'Forever'

Haunting, electrifying, propulsive are fitting descriptors for the latest single, 'Forever,' from Rory Hall, better known as Proper Micro NV. With his new material, the Limerick singer, songwriter, and electronic producer straddles genre lines, creating a soundscape that is best described as ambient haunted house.

The artist says of the single: "'Forever' fairly reflects the kind of house music I love and listen to. Pure, honest, deep, and dark house music with a bit of grit to it. I wrote it about a year ago with the dance floor in mind. I’m really proud of it. I filmed the video on the floor covered in old paper because why not?"

Sullen melodies and on-the-floor drum loops serve as a fitting canvas for Proper Micro NV’s wistful vocals. On 'Forever,' the beatmaker fuses reflective songwriting with questing electronics.
