Track of the Day: 'Mistakes' - Sem Thomasson

Making his debut release through Tiësto’s Musical Freedom Records, Belgium producer Sem Thomasson has shared his addictive new track ‘Mistakes’.

At the beginning of his career, the producer and DJ gained international attention with his impressive remix work for recognised artists like Clean Bandit, Zara Larsson, Flo Rida, Nelly Furtado, Lost Frequencies and Steve Aoki.

From the melodic and dark techno elements to the house and summer primed beat, Sem Thomasson’s new single ‘Mistakes’ is the perfect crossover.

Delivering feel-good house vibes from the get go, ‘Mistakes’ is a classic club hit that we can all enjoy from our own dance floors at home.

"With ‘Mistakes’ I wanted to create a dreamy club track. I teamed up with the singer of ‘Grey Zone’ one of my success tracks on Axtone last year," Thomasson said of the new track. 

"Together we created a track based on the Aladdin story where we want to spread the message that you can’t always have everything in life you are asking for but you should not stop dreaming. With the sound design of the track I wanted to make an easy listening song that fits every moment and location but still stands out in a club or on a festival stage."

Thomasson’s recognised and loved sound has seen releases on labels such as Warner Music, Universal Music, Atlantic Records, Axtone, Big Beat Records and Spinnin’ - to name a few.
