Track of the Day: 'I Got My Whole' - Tebi Rex
A sunny pop-infused track, it's a fun new direction for the hip hop duo.
Tebi Rex's latest single 'I Got My Whole' showcases the duo's knack for catchy pop-infused hip hop tracks. They continue to push their sound forward with the new experiment in sunny indie pop. The atmospheric instrumentals are all-encompassing, creating a beautifully polished (and immensely catchy) summer-ready banger. Despite being on the calmer side of their discography, the energy is still palpable and their passion strong as ever.
The video, directed by member Max Zanga and James Alkayed, is a quirky Wes Anderson-inspired love story. Pastels and thoughtful cinematography compliment the warm instrumentals, an ode to the warmer months ahead.
The duo have gained massive traction in recent months after their track 'I Never Got Off The Bus' was featured in the BBC's hit series Normal People. Already on a path to success, a new mixtape coming this summer has us excited to see how Tebi Rex will continue to push the envelope of Irish hip hop forward.
