Track of the Day: Moonlight Velvet by TOYGIRL
TOYGIRL's second single is a great example of their unique contemporary blend of jazz and pop.
TOYGIRL have just released their ethereal second single, 'Moonlight Velvet'.
The track is aptly named, with singer Hannah Worrall's velvety vocals delivering calming, melodic hooks. Beautifully textured old-school instrumentals add to the resounding sense of peace. They lean into their unique blend of jazz and pop with mellow saxophone solos and starlit piano from friend Louis Younge.
Though the band only have two official singles under their belt, they've gained a reputation for their hypnotic live performances. Gigs at Button Factory, Whelan's and Workman's have given them the opportunity to showcase their talents. They've got a big road ahead of them too, with confirmed spots at Indiependence, K-Fest and River Fest in the near future.
