Tough Love
Leeds mob release defiantly loud second album.
Get this: Leeds’ garage punks Pulled Apart By Horses’ continue their unstoppable climb up the ladder to rock royalty status with the release of their explosive second album Tough Love. It’s a neck-bothering, loud and proud monster that doesn’t let up over the course of 11 tracks. Sounding a little like the bastard offspring of The Blood Brothers, The Hives and Mudhoney, it’s reassuring to see the band refusing to dilute their sound despite being courted by the indie elite, and the likes of ‘VENOM.,’ ‘Some Mothers’ and the surprisingly tuneful ‘Bromance Ain’t Dead’ are pure, (devil’s) horn provoking, unadulterated pit anthems. File under “H” for heroic.
