Tolü Makay takes to the streets of Dublin ahead of tour

Tolü Makay took to the streets of Dublin over the weekend, with a handmade sign reading 'Come See Me on Tour.' She shared a video on Instagram that depicted her going to busy locations around the city to promote the concerts.

Her EP, People Still Cry In Summer was released in September 2025, her People Still Cry In Summer tour will feature material from the release, as well as singles like 'War' and 'Mind and Body'.

The Irish-Nigerian singer has a number of upcoming gigs across the country in October and November, beginning in Newbridge, Kildare, on October 1. Several shows have already sold out.

Other stops include Loughrea, Cork, and Cavan. Makay will also be performing at The Sugar Club, Dublin on Thursday, November 26.

When talking about the tour on her Instagram, Tolü Makay said she thinks it will be "incredibly powerful personally" and that the shows will be "a way for me to heal, a way for me to become, a way for me to also challenge myself."

Makay was born in Nigeria, and grew up in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Her music blends alternative pop and soul.

She began releasing music in 2018, her cover of The Saw Doctor's song 'N17' with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra went viral in 2021. She has previously supported Disclosure and RuthAnne.
