Ticketmaster issues warning about Dublin-based ticket scammers
The company encourages victims or anyone with information to report it to Gardaí "immediately."
Ticketmaster has issued an official statement warning about fraudulent ticket sellers who are "falsely claiming to represent the authorised ticket agent."
The statement, released in collaboration with multiple venues including 3Arena, Aviva Stadium, and Croke Park, details a Dublin-based scam in which a fake ticket seller promises fans advance tickets or last-minute collection from the venue for tickets that do not exist.
Ticketmaster stated: "Unfortunately, some fans have already lost large sums of money to this individual."
The company confirmed that it's working with An Garda Síochána and that "enhanced security and ticket verification arrangements are being implemented for all forthcoming events."
It is also reiterated that "verified tickets can only be purchased directly from the official authorised agent Ticketmaster.ie and not bought through a third party."
Fans have been urged to report any information they may have on the issue to the Gardaí.
