The xx releases new music video for 'I Dare You'
The band enlists Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown, Paris Jackson, Moonlight actor Ashton Sanders and more for their new video.
A week after their Glastonbury performance, the band released the video for “I Dare You”, which is the third in the trilogy from their album I See You.
Collaborated with the Calvin Klein creative director Raf Simons on the concepts and directions of the visual, the band worked alongside photographer and filmmaker Alasdair McLellan, who had done their music videos before.
The aesthetic and colorful video is an ode to the fantasy of LA. The band wrote, "We are so happy to share our new video for 'I Dare You’. Our love letter to Los Angeles, a city close to our hearts, where we wrote and recorded parts of our album ‘I See You’."
The statement continues, "This is the third video, our friend, the wonderful Alasdair McLellan has directed for us. He collaborated with a hero of ours, Raf Simons on the creative concept and direction. It was amazing to work with both of them and such a pleasure to meet and work with Millie, Paris, Ashton, Lulu and Ernesto! Thank you to Calvin Klein and everyone involved. We hope you enjoy watching! xx The xx"
The 6 minutes long music video starts off with Brown missing her schoolbus and so she decides to hang with her sister played by Jackson and a few other friends of hers. They end up at a small poolside concert by The xx.
