The Undertones announce Christmas party at the Ulster Hall
The event will include special guests The Rezillos.
Derry band The Undertones have announced a Christmas party at the Ulster Hall in Belfast on Saturday December 21. The event will also include a performance from special guests The Rezillos. Limited tickets are available here.
The group emerged in 1976, the result of five friends learning how to play basic rock and roll. The band recorded John O’Neill’s ‘Teenage Kicks’ in 1978 on Terri Hooley’s Good Vibrations label in Belfast. DJ John Peel liked it so much he played it twice in a row on his radio show.
This led to The Undertones signing with Sire Records and ‘Teenage Kicks’ being re-released, resulting in the group’s first appearance on Top Of The Pops.
Having split and reformed, the group have been performing together around the world over the last 25 years.
