The Swell Season go top 20 in the States

There’s more good news for the Swell Season with their Strict Joy album debuting at number 15 this week in America ahead of such other new entries as Wolfmother’s Cosmic Egg and Tegan & Sara’s Sainthood.
Strict Joy’s first week sales in the States totaled 28,000 copies, with a significant number of those stemming from its availability in Starbucks outlets where it’s retailing for just $9.99.
Number one again this week in the US is Michael Jackson’s This Is It, which shifted a whopping 373,000 units.
Meanwhile, the video for the Swell Season’s new single, ‘Low Rising’, has just appeared online. The clip, which rather poignantly finds Glen and Mar under separate rain clouds, was directed by Iron & Wine’s Sam Beam and looks absolutely gorgeous.
