Pearse Doherty returns to The Saw Doctors for upcoming summer concerts
The Galway rockstars took to Twitter to share the exciting news, which comes after announcing two major headline shows in Dublin's Fairview Park and Belfast's Custom House Square set for this summer.
2024 is shaping up to be an explosive year for The Saw Doctors. With upcoming performances at Dublin's Fairview Park on 29 June and Belfast's Custom House Square on 24 August, the Irish rockers amp up the anticipation with two exciting announcements.
Nearly 22 years after exiting the band, Pearse Doherty will return for all of the band's performances this year, playing bass and whistles. Following his departure in 2002, Doherty set his eyes on management, overseeing a Bob Dylan concert and tour managing Tommy Tiernan. He went on become the site manager for Ireland's biggest music festival Electric Picnic, which Doherty has looked after since 2009.
