- 26 May 20
The aptly named 'Human Contact is released this Friday, May 29.
York-based four-piece indie band The Howl and the Hum have announced rescheduled tour dates for 2021 ahead of the release of their debut album this week.
Having signed with Kobalt/AWAL, the band built up a decent back catalogue before creating their debut LP, Human Contact - out this Friday, May 29.
Lead singer and songwriter Sam Griffiths, bassist Bradley Blackwell, drummer Jack Williams and guitarist Conor Hirons impressed during their Other Voices performance in April, prior to the pandemic.
Human Contact is an aptly named record given the current times we live in, but the album title was decided well before lockdown came about.
Since releasing their debut single, 'Godmanchester Chinese Bridge,' in 2017, The Howl & The Hum have proven to be storytellers who create a all-encompassing musical atmosphere.
The Howl and the Hum will embark on their debut album tour in January 2021, check out the full dates below:

hey my gorgeous amigos, we hope you’re doing ok. with our debut album out this week, we of course had lots of touring planned, and we wanted to keep you updated on our plans ... with the current situation, we have needed to reschedule our big old album tour for the start of 2021. we felt this was the safest thing to do, so that we can now announce these dates with much more certainty that they can happen. so fingers crossed we can all get out and party like it's literally any year but 2020. some of these dates are rescheduled from september, and all tickets remain valid for those shows, tickets for all other shows go on sale at 9am on Friday.
