The Dubliners Encore announce seven shows at The Gaiety Theatre
The group kicked off their 2025 Irish tour back in January, finishing up last month.
The Dubliners Encore have announced their largest headline shows at Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre from September 15-20.
Tickets go on sale March 29 at 10 a.m, with a matinée and evening performance scheduled for September 20. Presented by Singular Artists, the show was created and produced by John and Ceoladh Sheahan. It celebrates the legacy of the Irish folk group, The Dubliners.
“As the last original Dubliner, I wanted to capture the essence of the original group, so audiences could experience the magic of a live Dubliners show,” said John Sheahan. “This definitive retelling of our story is a tribute to my bandmates and the music we created together.”
During their career, the original group released 30 albums and sold 40 million records. After searching for two years, five musicians were hand-picked by John Sheahan to recreate the spirit of his band.
“Taking The Dubliner Encore’s to The Gaiety stage, which holds so many memories of wonderful nights playing with The Dubliners, feels like a homecoming for the show,” he said. “Just a stone’s throw from O’Donoghue’s where it all started, The Gaiety and The Dubliners are forever intertwined, with Luke’s statue sitting proudly outside and Ronnie’s handprints forming part of the theatre’s ‘Walk of Fame’. Filling the Gaiety air once more with the music, songs, and story of my bandmates, will make for a series of very special performances for both Dubliners’ and Irish music fans alike."
Tickets will be available here.
