Side 4 Collective Releases Video for 'The Flood'
The new Dave Hingerty-curated Side 4 Collective release their debut track 'The Flood' today and below you can check out its excellent video.
'The Flood' also features Paul Noonan from BellX1 and Grammy nominated musical director Adam Marcello, The track is taken from the forthcoming album We Burn Bright which is due for release in October 2018 and includes contributions from Josh Ritter, Fehdah and more
The video creates the illusion that someone happened to pass by an open door and caught sight of a jam session between friends, due to the lightness of chemistry between each member of the group. The track feels uniquely Irish due to its use of haunting backing vocals over a powerful rock melody.
The idea behind the collective is for Hingerty to lay down a percussion as a form of 'blank canvas', where his fellow musicians could contribute their own musical intuitions until a completed song came to fruition.
