Shifting Gears
C1 is the first DJ/artist to release a mix for Intec, and Shifting Gears truly represents this music's true underground side
Apart from his day job as label manager for Carl Cox’s Intec label, London DJ C1 is also one of the UK’s finest techno exports, a talented spinner whose global profile is rapidly ascending. It’s fitting then that C1 is the first DJ/artist to release a mix for Intec, and Shifting Gears truly represents this music’s true underground side.
Gaetek, Rino Cerrone and Marco Carola rub shoulders with Ian Pooley in trippy mode, Kevin Saunderson’s superb mix of Dirty’s ‘Dirty’ is present as is a one off license of Red Planet’s ‘Stardancer’, while a glimpse of the future is offered with tracks from Andreas Saag, Heiko Laux, Bryan Zentz and Oxia. C1 is going places fast; it’s up to his peers to play catch up.
