Sheryl Crow announces her 11th studio album today
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has today announced the release of her 11th studio album Evolution available March 29th 2024
Featuring nine new songs, Evolution, will be Sheryl Crow's first album after Crow publicly stated that she would not release another full-length album after her 2018 offering, Threads.
Last night Crow was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to chat about the upcoming LP and her impending induction into The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame (today).
The musician also debuted the lead single of the track 'Clocks' on the talk show.
“Everything is more song oriented now with streaming, and making an album is a huge endeavor.” said Crow. “I started sending just a couple of demos to Mike [Elizondo, producer of Maroon 5, Dr.Dre and Keith Urban] but the songs just kept flowing out of me and it was pretty obvious this was going to be an album.”
“This music and these lyrics came from sitting in the quiet and writing from a deep soul place. I said I’d never make another record, thought there was no point to it.But this music comes from my soul. And I hope whoever hears this record can feel that" the nine time grammy award winner told Fallon.
