Sauce Gang Collective announce Workman's gig with special guests David Omfg and Mickey Chaos
The Workman's date will celebrate the Sauce Gang Collective's sophomore LP Mustard Melodies.
Hip hop -rock fusion band Sauce Gang Collective have announced a headliner at The Workman's Club on the eve of their sophomore album release.
The gig is scheduled to take place on July 11, while their second album Mustard Melodies is billed for a July 12 release.
Doors open at 7.30pm at Workman's club and tickets are priced from €5.00.
Mustard Melodies, which the band said "demonstrate[s] our constant tug of war between genres", is available to pre save here.
The LP was recorded largely in Pirate Studios in Cabra, but also retained a high degree of home recording to maintain the group's independent sound.
Speaking of the LP, the group said: "Mustard Melodies is a refined version of our sound. Our first album was about us having fun, figuring it out and recording random songs in a bedroom that we thought sounded cool. We had to arrange the songs differently live and realised there was a certain "magic" in our sound, and that it translated really well with live drums, electric guitars and trying to sound as loud as possible".
"We've got rock, pop, hip-hop, funk, indie and everything else in-between", the band said on the genre bending tendencies of the record.
Fans will have the chance to hear Mustard Melodies live for the first time at the gig.
Support will be in the form of Wexford's Micky Chaos and Arklow emo artist David Omfg.
Tickets and further information regarding the gig can be found here.
