Ron Sexsmith announces new album Hangover Terrace
The album announcement was accompanied by the release of a new single
Ron Sexsmith has announced his 18th studio album Hangover Terrace, which will be out on August 29 via Cooking Vinyl.
The news was also accompanied by the release of 'Don't Lose Sight', the first track from the forthcoming record.
The album was recorded at Eastcote Studios in London with producer Martin Terefe, marking the first time Sexsmith has recorded in the city since 2007. Hangover Terrace follows his 2024 UK tour, “Sexsmith at Sixty.”
Speaking about the origin of the record's title, the Canadian singer-songwriter said “One day my band and I were travelling to the London Palladium and we passed a place called "Hanover Terrace" to which Don Kerr [the drummer in Sexsmith's band] said Hangover Terrace!
"I had a sort of lightbulb moment and felt right away that was going to be the title. It speaks of this hangover I feel from the last few years of pandemic and life knocking us around."
Hangover Terrace will be available from August 29 on all major platforms.
