Resuscitation
Very much a case of one step back and three steps forward.
Adult have only released a handful of records, but have built up a global reputation for their approximation of ’80s synth pop sensibilities and dancefloor-friendly electro patterns. While many will question the sincerity of their always serious music and attendant image – ’80s uniforms with a touch of Gothic – one you’re hooked on their eminently funky electronic music, there’s no escape. ‘Contagious’ and ‘Pressure Suit’ are menacing pieces, while dancefloor matters are taken care of by ‘New Object’, ‘Nausea’ and ‘Your Lies’. Very much a case of one step back and three steps forward.
