RAYE reveals why sophomore album won't be released "anytime soon"
The musician revealed on Instagram that her song-writing books were stolen in car theft.
Raye took to Instagram in a not-so-celebratory post for her 27th birthday to share why her highly anticipated sophomore album will not be arriving “any time soon”.
The musician explained in the caption, “it’s my birthday and my car got stolen with all my song-writing books in the boot so no second album any time soon love you bye”
Raye paired the announcement with a carousel of photos celebrating her birthday, one of which pictured a cake iced with "sorry ur car got stolen".
The follow up to My 21st Century Blues has been highly anticipated, with the artist's fanbase doubling prior to her leaving her previous label.
RAYE has previously had issues releasing her records, with the singer vocal about her struggles to release her debut album due to issues with her label at the time.
The singer-songwriter made Brit Award history in March of this year, going home with six of the seven awards she was nominated for, including prestigious award for songwriter of the year.
