The New York dance punk band returned last year after a five-year hiatus. Alongside labelmates and peers LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture defined the mid-2000s electro-punk crossover in New York. They played a monumental part in the launch of New York rock revival that brought us the Strokes and Vampire Weekend.Their 2006 debut Echoes received mass critical acclaim, earning high-ranking spots on year-end lists.
The Vicar Street gig will see them playing tracks from all three albums and feature original band members Luke Jenner, Vito Roccoforte and Gabriel Andruzzi. Support acts are yet to be announced.
Tickets are €34.50 and go on sale at 9am on Friday, February 7.
