PREMIERE: lemin. – 'Good Looks Kill'
This video feels like a Sunday morning.
Toronto-based alt-pop artist lemin. has revealed a cream-coloured video for her single 'Good Looks Kill', and Hot Press is proud to host its Irish premiere. The intimate, minimalist video is beautifully stylised, mimicking the clear and simple nature of lemin.'s sonic landscape.
“To me when I love deeply, it aches, and that is the feeling this song brings up for me,” lemin notes. Sharing her intense love of her partner, she sings, “If good looks could kill I’d be a goner, dead in the water, you’d call my father and say ‘Petey passed away’...”
When she’s not lemin., she’s Petey – and this track gives us an unflinching look into the passion in her personal life. It's a peek behind the ivory-toned curtain to the portrait of the artist as a young woman.
