Olivia Rodrigo announces new album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love
"I am so proud of this record and I can't wait for you to hear it," said Rodrigo on Instagram.
Olivia Rodrigo has announced her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, which is set for release on June 12.
Rodrigo collaborated with producer Daniel Nigro, who previously worked on her debut album, SOUR, and her second album, GUTS.
This announcement follows a period of cryptic hints from the pop star, including mysteriously wiping her Instagram posts and teasing fans with a purple wall in Los Angeles that subtly shifted to pink.

Rodrigo, who first rose to fame on the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, launched her solo music career in 2021 with the massive hit ‘Drivers License.’ She continued with GUTS in 2023, the lead single ‘Vampire’ becoming her third song to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In a March 2026 interview with British Vogue, Rodrigo previewed the album, saying it would be full of "sad love songs." She explained her perspective on romantic tracks, noting that "all of my favourite romantic love songs were beautiful because they had a tinge of fear or yearning in them."
