Oasis reveal billboard in County Mayo for new movie campaign
"Happy, sad or funny, we want to know how the song or songs have touched your life..." the website reads.
An Oasis billboard has been revealed in Charlestown, County Mayo, advertising a new campaign for their upcoming film.
Magna Studios and director Steven Knight, known for his work on Peaky Blinders, are producing a new film inspired by Oasis’s music. In a campaign for the movie, the billboard invites listeners to share stories related to the band, displaying a link to a new website.
“We are asking people all over the world if there is a particular Oasis song that has deep meaning for you,” the website reads. “A song that tells the story of a life changing moment, a love, a loss, a heartbreak, or a break for freedom.”
The Gallagher brother’s mother lived in Charlestown before moving to Manchester. The duo has announced a reunion tour set for this summer, with two shows at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 16 and 17.
Fans can share their Oasis story here.
