New Roman Times
New Roman Times is quite charming in its own weird way.
Making the Stone Roses and Stereo MCs look positively industrious, Camper Van Beethoven are back after a fifteen year gap since their last album. Given that they always functioned largely on the margins anyway, you do wonder if anyone has been actively counting the days. New Roman Times is unlikely to move them any further inwards from the edge, being a bizarre concept album that takes in Eastern European themed instrumentals along the way. Still, quite charming in its own weird way.
