New David Bowie documentary in the works for BBC
It's set to focus on his early years
The BBC are currently in the production stages of a documentary that acts as prequel to previously aired David Bowie: Five Years and David Bowie: The Last Five Years.
The new documentary is to be named David Bowie: The First Five Years and will air in 2019, as reported by David Bowie News.
David Bowie: Five Years aired in 2013 while David Bowie: The Last Five Years aired in 2017.
The previous two documentaries each ran for 90 minutes and received raving reviews.
Five Years focused on the five most important years of Bowie's career - those which solidified him as a musical, fashion and cultural icon.
The Last Five Years centred on the final years of his career before his passing, focusing on his last two albums The Next Day (2013) and Blackstar (2016), and Broadway musical Lazarus.
Now, The First Five Years will focus on the early years of Bowie's career.
