Neil Young to Release 38th Album, Peace Trail
Iconic rocker has more music up his sleeve
Get ready for Neil Young's second album of 2016! Peace Trail is ready for the shelves on December 2.
Canadian rocker, Neil Young, has long been socially conscious over the years. His songwriting continues to express global issues, as he exhibited with the 2015 album The Monsanto Years.
The track 'Indian Givers' dives into the Dakota Access Pipeline controversy and brings awareness to tribal matters that are often overlooked. In 2014, he told Toronto concertgoers that the Alberta Oil Sands were an example of the "greediest, most destructive and most disrespectful demonstration of something that has run amok."
The tune 'Indian Giver' cries out"Big money going backwards and ripping the soil/Where graves are scattered and blood was boiled/When all who look can see the truth/But they just move on and keep their groove".
Peace Trail does not fall short of raising awareness to tribal and social issues. 'Texas Ranger,' 'Terrorist Suicide Hang Gliders,' and 'My Pledge' are among the new acoustic tracks.
