Mogwai and Lankum announce South Facing London gig
The summer festival will also feature previously announced artists such as Nile Rodgers, Basement Jaxx and Skepta.
Mogwai and Lankum have announced a joint outdoor gig in London as part of the 2025 edition of the festival South Facing, set to take place at Crystal Palace Bowl on August 7.
The show will mark Mogwai’s only summer appearance this year, and the only London gig for Lankum in 2025.
The announcement follows the release of Mogwai’s eleventh studio album The Bad Fire, which was rated a 9/10 by Hot Press, who called the record “pure brilliant.”
Meanwhile, Lankum most recently received a Mercury Prize shortlist nomination for their album False Lankum, and collaborated with Massive Attack for the Act 1.5 show in Bristol.

False Lankum was rated a 9/10 by Hot Press, who wrote that the album was “a groundbreaking reintroduction to the Dublin four-piece.”
The two acts join the lineup for South Facing 2025, which already includes Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Basement Jaxx, Skepta’s Big Smoke Festival, and Flackstock.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 28 here.
