Moby announces new album, shares new track
All profits from the new record will go to charity.
Moby has shared the first track from his upcoming album, All Visible Objects, out March 6.
The new track, 'Power Is Taken,' is chaotic and energetic, featuring vocals from D.H. Peligro of Dead Kennedys. It tackles injustice, with Peligro's statement "we who hate oppression / must fight against the oppressors / power is not shared / power is taken" repeated throughout the song.
All Visible Objects will continue with a strong emphasis on activism. The influential producer and DJ has confirmed that 100 per cent of profits from the record will go to charity, with each individual track raising funds for a different cause. The charities range from social justice organisations like the American Civil Liberties Union to environmental organisations such as Extinction Rebellion and the Rainforest Action Network to animal welfare groups such as Mercy for Animals and the Humane League.
Moby has recently displayed his commitment to animal rights with a huge 'Animal Rights' tattoo across his arms and a bold 'Vegan For Life' one on his neck.
A full list of charities is available on his website. Check out the new track and music video below:
