Michael Kiwanuka pulls out of All Together Now due to "continued illness"
Michael Kiwanuka is unable to perform at ATN and other summer festivals
All Together Now has announced that Michael Kiwanuka will be unable to perform at this year's festival due to "continued illness."
The Mercury Prize-winning artist was set to play the main stage at 9:30 pm on Sunday.
"We are sad to announce that @michaelkiwanuka will not be able to perform any of his upcoming shows due to illness", said All Together Now on Instagram.
"We send our love to Michael and wish him a speedy recovery and hope to welcome him to the festival in the future."
Kiwanuka's instagram also shared a story addressing the situation:
"We are so sorry to announce that due to continued illness and on the advice of doctors, Michael will be sadly unable to perform at the rest of his scheduled festival performances throughout the rest of the summer and in the shows in North America in October", said a spokesperson for Kiwanuka.
"We know this is disappointing news to hear and nobody is more disappointed and saddened than Michael to be no longer taking the stage as planned."
All Together Now also stated on Instagram that they will update the stage times on Tuesday and will be announcing a surprise on the ATN app and socials.
The festival takes place this weekend, August 1-3, in the Curraghmore Estate, Waterford.
