Masquerade Of A Fool
Back with Michael Knox, the co-producer of her fine debut, traditionalist Danni Leigh provides a timely release with the great Masquerade Of A Fool.
Danni Leigh’s last album Divide And Conquer paired her with Dwight Yoakam producer Pete Anderson; it was a somewhat unsatisfactory affair. This new album sees her back with Michael Knox, the co-producer of her fine debut. The songs vary from the heartbreak of the title track through the steel-driven ‘Damned If I Do’, to the thoughtful ‘Was It Worth It To You?’. This is a timely release for Leigh, with such other traditionalists as Sunny Sweeney and Elizabeth Cook also making great albums.
