Man From Hell
Here, he strikes an effortless balance between techno, house and electro.
Dahlback is the 20-year-old cousin of Swedish producer Jesper Dahlback. He left school only last year and already has released more than a dozen EPs. Here, he strikes an effortless balance between techno, house and electro. His debt to vocal house is most evident on ‘Circle Of Life’. Elsewhere, the acidic ‘It Feels So Good’ pilfers the drum sound of Plastikman while ‘My Love For Machines’ gives tongue and cheek homage to Anthony Rother. On ‘Hugge’s Theme’, Dahlback deploys live bass and euro-electronic melodies. Most dance floor producers seem out of touch by comparison.
