Maisie Peters announces new album Florescence
Maisie Peters has announced her third studio album Florescence via Gingerbread Man Records.
The West Sussex singer-songwriter follows up her UK No. 1 album The Good Witch with a new alt-pop LP out Friday, May 6.
“These 15 tracks depict a blossoming of myself from ages 23 to 25 and a blossoming of a true, real love that anchors both me and this record,” Peters said in a press release. “This album feels like a true representation of healing, of finding hope, peace, and strength not just in somebody else, but in yourself.”
Peters has released a trailer for the album, directed by Chicken Shop Date's Amelia Dimoldenberg.
Primarily written and recorded in Nashville, Florescence features duets with Julia Michaels and Marcus Mumford. Peters co-produced the album with Grammy winner Ian Fitchuk.
“With songwriting, there’s power – and with power comes great responsibility,” she said to Hot Press in a 2023 interview. “I try to use my power for good, especially as I get older. It’s up to me to tell the story however I see fit, and to use the truth however I see fit, which is important. I’ve earned the right. But also, to tell the story responsibly.”
Peters will embark on a European and North American tour ahead of the album's release. Ticket pre-sales will begin Wednesday, February 4.
