Madra Salach, Skinner and Shark School to play new Outside The Meadows series
Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 22 at 10am through Ticketmaster
The organisers of In The Meadows festival have announced Outside The Meadows, a new series of shows featuring emerging Irish acts Madra Salach, Skinner and Shark School on June 5 and 6.
The gigs will take place in the Cobblestone Pub and Thomas House in Dublin. The showcase is meant to offer audiences a "set of intimate shows spotlighting a new wave of voices in Irish music."
Madra Salach, known for their experimental take on traditional folk music, will play The Cobblestone on June 5. Dublin-based multi-instrumentalist Skinner will perform on the same day at Thomas House. Shark School, a female-fronted garage band from Galway City, will perform on June 6 also at Thomas House.
In The Meadows festival will take place for the second year running in the grounds of The Royal Hospital, Kilmainham on Saturday, June 7. The event will feature headline act Iggy Pop, along with Slowdive, The Scratch, Gilla Band, Sprints and Warmduscher.
