London Astrobeat Orchestra To Perform Talking Heads At The Grand Social

London Astrobeat Orchestra will be performing songs from the iconic Talking Heads' Stop Making Sense movie live at The Grand Social on July 27.

The six-piece band features band leader and bassist Edd Bateman – who brings in rhythmic influences from Senegal, Guinea Conakry, Mali, Cameroon and Congo – alongside Lingala singer and soukous expert King Fire, guitarist and vocalist Julian Burdock, and kora player Mosi Conde.

London Astrobeat Orchestra will be focusing on the albums Remain In The Light and Speaking in Tongues, bringing their funky and hypnotic take on the cult classics to life.
