LISTEN: SG Lewis teams up with Chic's Nile Rodgers on 'One More'
'Times', the debut album from SG Lewis, is slated to arrive on February 19th via EMI.
Electronic producer and musical artist SG Lewis has collaborated with Chic's Nile Rodgers on his new single ‘One More’.
The song combines a dance beat with the guitar, bass and disco elements of keyboard melodies.
“‘One More’ was the first song I wrote for this record in LA, and one that set me on the path to making this whole album,” Lewis explained about his new offering.
“Working with Nile Rodgers was an experience which will stay with me for the rest of my life. To have someone who has influenced not only this album, but my entire career play on this song is mind-blowing.”
Rodgers described working with SG Lewis on ‘One More’ as “a pleasure to do”, adding, “I mean that from the heart.”
The Londoner has also announced his livestream ‘Times – The Live Experience’ to launch his debut album.
Slated for February 19th - the day the album is released - the event will feature Lewis, his band and some very special guests.
“Whilst we can’t dance together, I wanted to get together (virtually) and play the new album for you all,” Lewis said on Twitter.
Pre-sale tickets are available to those who pre-order the album from his store.
The producer also recently released the Times's title track, ‘Feed The Fire’ (feat. Lucky Daye), ‘Chemicals’ and ‘Impact’ with Swedish icon Robyn and Channel Tres.
His most recent single 'Times' features Canadian vocalist Rhye, and it was prompted by a heart-to-heart on the American West Coast.
“This album is an ode to the present moment, and the finite chances we have to celebrate it. It’s an exploration of escapism and euphoria, and the memories attached to those experiences,” Lewis said.
