Overnight, a new track appeared on The xx's Spotify playlist. A blank white image accompanies the 55-second, unnamed instrumental song. The band has not yet confirmed whether the apparition is a teaser for a new album or upcoming material.

Last month, the English indie pop band revealed that they had begun work on the long-awaited follow-up to their 2012 album, Coexist. The xx also unveiled an ‘In The Studio’ playlist to accompany the announcement.
