Big Thief have released their latest single 'Certainty.'
The American indie rock/folk band released their last album, Two Hands, in 2019. Since then, they've shared a handful of singles, including their 2021 releases 'Little Things' and 'Sparrow.'
'Certainty' was written and recorded during a three-day power outage at Flying Cloud Studios in upstate New York.
"On the third day of the outage, I found Adrianne [Lenker] on the porch writing a new song, so I sat with her and we finished it together, with the rain falling from the gutters splashing over our guitars," said guitarist Buck Meek.
"James [Krivchenia] and Sam [Evian] saw us writing, and quickly set up a four-track tape machine in the kitchen, powered by the F250 cigarette lighter out in the yard," he continued. "They set up the drums by the sink, and Max [Oleartchik] plugged his bass into a Bluetooth speaker set on top of the stove."
In June, the four-piece band announced their upcoming UK and European tour, which features their largest Dublin headline show to date. They will perform at the National Stadium on February 26, 2022.
