Led Zeppelin to tour in 2008
Rumours of a full Led Zeppelin tour next year have apparently been confirmed - by the lead singer of the band booked to support them.
The Cult frontman Ian Astbury told fans at a recent gig in Cincinnati: "We'll be back next year, because we're opening for a band you may have heard of. The name starts with an 'L' and has a 'Z' in it."
The heavy metal legends are set to play their rescheduled O2 Arena concert in London on December 10. Guitarist Jimmy Page has made several hints in the past few weeks that the show may not turn out to be a one-off after all.
Dublin's Croke Park currently has only two big concerts booked for 2008 - Westlife and Celine Dion. Could a visit from Robert, Jimmy and the boys be in order? Popping in on the Phoenix Park in summer configuration may be another possibility, or maybe they'd prefer the opulent surroundings of Slane Castle? Watch this space...
