The Killers delay new album, share single 'Fire In Bone'
The band's sixth studio album was originally set to be released on May 29.
The Killers have released a new song, called 'Fire In Bone'. It's the second single from their upcoming album Imploding the Mirage.
The new record was initially set to be released on May 29 via Island records, however its release has been pushed back "due to delays in finalizing the album". Imploding the Mirage will be the band's sixth studio album, following 2017's Wonderful, Wonderful.
Like their last single 'Caution', 'Fire In Bone' has strong post-punk and new wave influences. It's got the Killers' signature indie-rock sound with basslines that sound heavily inspired by The Cure.
The band yesterday announced a slew of rescheduled UK and Ireland tour dates, postponed to May and June 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. They play Dublin's Malahide Castle on June 15 and 16 2021 and tickets for the original dates will be honoured.
