Kevin Abstract Releases Second Solo EP in Two Weeks
Brockhampton ring leader Kevin Abstract releases 'Ghettobaby' the second of three solo EPs.
Only seven days after releasing solo EP ARIZONA Baby, American singer, rapper, and BROCKHAMPTON founder Kevin Abstract has released a follow up project. Each EP – of three scheduled to be released between April 8th and April 25th – acts as one third of a larger, as of now untitled project. Ghettobaby is three tracks long, just like its predecessor, and features the single ‘Baby Boy’ which first appeared around March of 2018 in a video announcing BROCKHAMPTON’s deal with RCA Records.
This comes after Kevin Abstract denied rumors that the boy band had split up, stating that “BROCKHAMPTON is not breaking up, the new music sounds good as hell, we just not spending 10 days on albums no more.” On his current project’s release strategy, he explained that he “[hates] how people listen to albums nowadays.” He continued, saying that “people see the song with the star or the most streams and listen to that shit first… so I wanted to try something different.”
You can find the EP on all streaming services, and watch the music video for ‘Baby Boy’ as well as the music video for ARIZONA Baby single ‘Big Wheels’ right here. The project’s third and final, as of now untitled, EP is scheduled for release on April 25th.
