Katie Melua Drops Winter-Themed Album

Inspired by her childhood Georgian city, Melua creates a special album based on the icy Soviet landscapes and her memories growing up. She features the harmoniously rich Gori Women's Choir whom accompany her delicate vocals. The choir supplies nostalgia and warmth amid a cold atmosphere.

In Winter was recorded in a make-shift studio in Gori. Despite Gori's infamous history, known mostly as Stalin's birthplace, Melua turns the city into an angelic, comforting home.
