Kat Von D announces headline show at The Academy

Musician and tattoo icon Kat Von D has just announced a headline show in The Academy, Dublin on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

The news comes alongside her EU/UK Tour 2025 dates announcement, following the success of her 2024 LP, My Side of the Mountain, and her continued rise in the electronic/pop scenes.

Born in Montemorelos, Mexico, and raised in Southern California, before gaining fame as a tattoo artist, television personality, best-selling author, and beauty entrepreneur, she spent her early years playing piano for two hours a day. She started learning at just five years old.

Kat channelled her musical background into her full-length debut album, Love Made Me Do It, released in 2021.

She shows a signature blend of disco goth, heavily influenced by synthwave, new wave, post-punk, and other iconic electronic sounds of the 80's.

Kat Von D trained her voice with Ken Tamplin six days per week, improving her vocals and overall song writing abilities leading up to her public unveiling as a singer/songwriter/producer.

She also sought additional musical guidance from Grammy Award-nominee Linda Perry in preparation for her debut album.

Tickets from €30 including booking fee go on sale this Friday, February 14 at 10am.
