Josh Ritter announces new album I Believe in You, My Honeydew
Listen to his new single 'You Won’t Dig My Grave', taken from the upcoming album, below.
Singer-songwriter Josh Ritter has announced the release of his new album, I Believe in You, My Honeydew, out September 12, via Thirty Tigers.
The record will include his new song 'You Won’t Dig My Grave', out today.
I Believe in You, My Honeydew is produced by Sam Kassirer and features Ritter's Royal City Band, consisting of Kassirer, Zachariah Hickman, Rich Hinman, and Ray Rizzo.
With 12 albums released to date, Ritter has been making music for decades. Pondering on his career, he said the following about his new project:
"I’m 48 now. Decades have passed. There have been times I felt my inspiration, my Muse, had passed along with them.
"And then, not too long ago, I decided that instead of waiting for the Muse to write me a song, I would write the Muse a song instead. I started referring to my Muse as my Honeydew. And this album was born,” he explained.
In celebration of his new music, the American singer will go on tour in the U.S. in August and November.
