Jeff Tweedy announces Galway and Dublin shows
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 27 at 10AM
Folk-rock singer Jeff Tweedy has announced he will play two shows in Galway and Dublin this November.
The Wilco frontman will play Galway's Blackbox Theatre on November 16 before taking to the stage in Dublin's The Ambassador Theatre on November 17.
The shows come as Tweedy celebrates his 2025 triple-disc album, Twilight Override.
The album marked Tweedy's first album in five years since his pandemic-era solo record Live Is the King.
Twilight Override is described as “an intentional, sprawling three-disc album, a testament to creativity in the face of overwhelming darkness.”
The album was recorded and produced by Tweedy at The Loft, his Chicago studio, with engineering and mixing by long-time collaborator Tom Schick.
Featured musicians include a close circle of Chicago-based friends and family: James Elkington, Sima Cunningham, Macie Stewart, Liam Kazar, and Tweedy’s sons Spencer and Sammy.
"Here are the songs and sounds and voices and guitars and words that are an effort to let go of some of the heaviness and up the wattage on my own light – my effort to engulf this encroaching nighttime (nightmare) of the soul,” said Tweedy on the album.
Tickets for the Galway and Dublin shows go on sale Friday, March 27, at 10 AM via Ticketmaster.
