Janet Devlin releases studio music video for 'Holy Water'
The track is the penultimate single from her new album, 'Confessional'.
Northern Irish singer Janet Devlin has released a studio music video for her upbeat new single, 'Holy Water', featuring an impressive 19 performers on the track.
Well-known figures from the traditional Irish scene such as Eoin Dillon, Brian Fleming, and Peter Browne feature on the song, which follows the release of four highly-praised singles; ‘Confessional’, ‘Saint of the Sinners’, ‘Honest Men’ and ‘Away with the Fairies’.
Posting the video to her YouTube channel, the 25-year-old Co. Tyrone musician wrote:
"I had a tonne of fun making 'Holy Water'. I’m incredibly lucky to have been working with such wonderful musicians and my friends.
"This video captures the hard work, attention, love and care - not to mention joy - that went into making the whole album," Devlin added.
"It’s my life in sonic form! Hope you enjoy, have a dance, and please like share, download or buy the album if you like what you hear!"
The song was recorded between London and Dublin and was the most expensive track to make on Devlin's forthcoming album, Confessional, which is slated for release on June 6, 2020.
Her autobiography, 'My Confessional', will also be released on the same day. The singer has been treating her online following to chapter readings to promote the book, which delves into her life from when she competed on the X-Factor in 2011 to the present day.
